Where did February go?

Hello! It was another fun week in Kindergarten. We talked about the needs of living things and we are gearing up for our big PBL projects where we talked about the needs of plants. We also discussed land forms. We are continuing to grow as readers and writers. This is such a fun time in the year because you can really see all the light bulbs start to go off and they become very confident as readers and writers. I want to say thank you to Aaron and Isabel’s dads who transformed our Kindergarten hallway into a truffula tree forest for our Dr. Seuss week next week. They did a great job! Please come by and see it on Monday. Today was “Dress like a Celebrity” day. We had a few friends that went all out! Please don’t forget that we will have a theme for each day next week. Monday is “Cozy up to a Great Book” so we are all wearing our pajamas!

This week, we learned a lot about Clare and her family while she was the Superstar.

Next week we will learn more about our friend Logan!

Have a great weekend!

Crazy Week

Hello! I wanted to say thank you for being so supportive and understanding while I was out dealing with sick kids and a pulled back. It is never easy when your child’s teacher is out for one day much less 3-4 days. I appreciate all your support! I was very happy to be back on Wednesday and we just kept on with our busy schedule as usual. The 100th day last week was amazing. The kids shirts were great and I loved seeing how creative everyone was. We had a lot of fun that day. Here are some pictures from that fun day.

We learned a lot about Charlie last week when he was our Superstar.

Next week we will learn more about Clare!

Thank you to our room moms for a great Valentine’s Day party. The kids all said they had a blast.

Have a great weekend.

Hello February

It was a great week this week. We have learned so much leading up to the multicultural fair that will be at our school tonight. We have learned about ancestors, food, clothing and so much more.

RJ was our superstar this week. We loved learning about him and his family and seeing all the things he and Sassy Lassy did this week.

Next week, we will learn more about Charlie while he is our Superstar!

Have a great weekend! Remember those 100 day shirts on Monday and your child will  need to go to the cafeteria Monday morning instead of the classroom.
