What a fun week this has been! Red Ribbon week is always exciting when we get to dress up in fun ways at school. I loved seeing all the red, neon, crazy hats, and CCE shirts. I wish I had been here for PJ day but they all told me what kind of PJ’s they wore when I got back.

We ended our week with pumpkin math and boo! math. Both were tons of fun. We started with boo! math in the morning and then pumpkin math in the afternoon. All the kids really seemed to enjoy it!

We enjoyed getting to know our friend Daniela more this week while she was the superstar!  She took Hotdog to a carnival and it looks like they had a blast.

Our next superstar is Abhi and we can’t wait to see what he and Hotdog do together!

We had another fun week! We started talking about expository texts using bat books! We learned a lot of cool facts about bats but also about expository books in general. Be sure to ask your child about bats and have them point out cool things in non-fiction books.

This week we wore pink on Tuesday to support breast cancer awareness and then orange on Wednesday for unity! I brought my selfie stick to take a class picture and the kids loved it!

Of course we cashed in our tickets this week. I got to have a girls lunch with Talia and Breelyn and then Evie got to sit at my desk for the day. We celebrated our rainy day on Friday with no shoes!!! It’s the little things in Kindergarten!

Lexi was our super star this week and we loved learning about her and her family! Lexi told us that her dog loved Hotdog and thought he was her new chew toy! Thank goodness Lexi was there to save the day!

Next week our super star is Daniela and we are very excited to see what she and Hotdog get into. She kept mentioning a carnival so we will see if Hotdog gets his first carnival experience.

We had a fun week! Of course we had to start our week by cashing in our tickets. We ran out of time last Friday and they will never let me forget that it was ticket time. A lot of friends decided to cash in their tickets this week for a coupon. We had some friends bring in a stuffed animal, eat lunch with me, read to the class, and of course choose a GoNoodle for a brain break!

We also introduced some games into our Comet Club time. These are great team builders, fine motor skill practices, and educational! It’s a win, win, win! On Friday, we got to enjoy a popsicle since we had been learning about heating and cooling all week in science.

Last but not least, Hotdog decided that he was ready to go visit another one of our friends after his week long vacation! He will be spending the week with Lexi and her family!!! We can’t wait to find out what adventures they will have.

Jackson was our Superstar this week! He did an amazing job on his poster and we loved  hearing about his family and all of his hobbies. His mom also came to read to the class on Thursday. The kids really loved the book that had Jackson’s name in it.

Hotdog is taking a break next week! He’s a little worn out from visiting so many friends. He will be hanging out in the classroom with us next week and will visit a new friends house the next week.

Of course we had kids use the coupons they bought from their tickets the week before. I had a fun group have lunch with me on Wednesday and then Ellie chose the ticket where she got to call her dad and share some good things about her day. My whole class is really working hard at earning these tickets!

We had a great week! We learned a lot this week and had a lot of fun while we were learning. Dawn was our Superstar this week and we loved seeing her poster. We learned that Dawn is a great artist.

Every Friday, the class looks forward to seeing who our new Superstar will be! Jackson is up for next week and we are excited to see what adventures he and Hotdog are up to!

We learned about syllables in language arts this week and we learned about sorting in math. During one of our syllable lessons we sorted our syllable picture cards into how many syllables the words had. We also used our names to discover syllables.
